Laid To Rest, In Honor

Private Kooiman is one of the frist five American service members to have the newly permitted Pentegram on his grave stone.

I am so honored to share this with you, and pray to my God that She hold all Veterans in Her hands this day. Those in harms way today, those wounded inside and out, and those who never did make it home.

Blessed Be, Blessed Be, and Blessed Be Again

May he rest in peace. I'm sure his military troops are proud of him.

More accurately, Private Kooiman is one of the first five American service members to have the newly permitted Pentagram (as in Pentagon) symbol displayed on his grave stone. I have in the past commented on the irony that Wiccan or otherwise pagan soldiers have faced resistance to displaying a five pointed star that, in outline, is identical to the five pointed start aka pentagram that is used by the U.S. Army, to say nothing of the Red Army, to identify it's vehicles.

May Private Kooiman, and all other pagan U.S. soldiers rest in peace at least.
